‘Krrish 4’ to be Hrithik's second clash with SRK after 'Kaabil'
India’s superhero film franchise ‘Krrish’ starring Hrithik Roshan, will return with the fourth instalment in the series on Christmas 2018, producer-director Rakesh Roshan has announced. The shooting for the film will begin sometime next year, the director added.
Rakesh Roshan was inspired to revive the super-hit franchise after he came across an idol of Lord Ganesha in Krrish’s costume.
"When my wife showed me Bappa's picture, it reaffirmed my belief that Krrish is the original superhero we have. It boosted my confidence and inspired me to make the fourth instalment. Ganesha is also called the God of Auspicious beginnings. I guess this was his way of saying that we have his blessings for 'Krrish 4’,” senior Roshan was quoted as saying by a leading daily.
Hrithik also shared a picture of the Ganesha idol as Krrish on his Twitter handle on Wednesday and wrote, “Ganpati blessings for KRRISH4 :)) hope everyone is enjoying the festivities. Love to all.”
Interestingly, Shah Rukh’s next with Anand L. Rai, in which he will be seen in the role of a dwarf has also been announced to release in December 2018.
"Excited to announce our film with @aanandlrai & @iamsrk in association with @cypplOfficial. Releasing Dec 21, 2018. Title to be revealed soon!" Shah Rukh’s production company Red Chillies Entertainments had earlier announced on Twitter.
If both ‘Krrish 4’ and Shah Rukh’s yet untitled film, then it will be the second box-office clash between Hrithik and the ‘Dilwale’ actor after ‘Kaabil’ and ‘Raees’.
