Kick: Salman romances Jacqueline in 'Tu Hi Tu'
If you thought Shraddha Kapoor or Alia Bhatt singing songs in their films was a big deal, think again as one of the top stars of Bollywood, Salman Khan has also started to show off his singing skills. Few days ago the second song ‘Hangover’ from the soundtrack of ‘Kick’ was released. It was then revealed that Salman is one of the singers in the song. Salman has sung before so it was not exactly a big surprise for fans.
Then on 8th July Salman posted the link of the third song from ‘Kick’ which has also been sung by him. Salman wrote, “Ek Se bhale do. do Se bhale teen.” The song is titled ‘Tu Hi Tu’. This soft romantic number has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya and written by Mayur Puri. Salman has done surprisingly well in the song and it is bound to increase the interest of producers in Salman as a singer.
After the release of ‘Hangover’, Salman had said, "I sing badly but I can sing just about any time. I don`t care about how I sing... I sing, I don`t care…have sang before, in `Hello Brother` and `Wanted` also, the `Most Wanted` title track was sung by me. I don`t understand why is all this happening because I have sung earlier…So all this hype is making me feel like I am singing for the first time. I have just sung a bit better than those two times.”
Now latest reports are suggesting that Salman has sung in all songs from the film ‘Kick’. The film’s producer –director Sajid Nadiadwala has confirmed the news. He said, “In Kick, we have songs by four different music composers. But only one singer – Salman Khan.” Nadiadwala also added, “Salman insisted on singing it himself. This is the first time he’s sung a romantic duet. He impressed everybody, including Shreya [Ghoshal]. The song which was always part of the script is sure to make the girls swoon.”
Composer Manmeet of the composer trio Meet Bros Anjjan, who
have composed for ‘Kick’ is all praises for Salman’s vocal skills. He said,
“There’s a fantastic singer hidden in Salman. We were bowled over by his voice
control. He’s sung in bits and parts before but this we feel is his real debut
as a playback singer.” Looks like Salman is going all out to get the ‘Kick’ out
of the box office this time.
