KBC New Slogan Seekhna Bandh Toh Jeetna Bandh’


‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) has geared itself for yet another season of question-answer game show and this time the communication campaign for KBC is ‘Seekhna bandh toh jeetna bandh’ meaning if you stop learning, you stop winning.

In its first promotional trailer, superstar Amitabh Bachchan , who will be the host of the show, told that if you stop learning new things in life, you will stop achieving victory. 

The promotional video shows a lady named Mrs. Dhingra decides to become a wedding planner. She feels that learning new things has no meaning at her age. Consequently she meets with a series of misjudgments in her business and faces lose. Then she thinks, “Kaash kuchh seekh liya hota (wish I would've learnt something)". Then Mr. Bachchan comes in frame and by quoting her example urges people to continue learning throughout life. He points out that there is no age for learning. This promotional video is also available online on the official website of KBC.

The new season for KBC will be aired on Sony Entertainment in end August or early September. KBC is based on the UK game show ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’.

‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ was first aired in 2000 with its host as Amitabh Bachchan. This was his first appearance on television as a host for any show In the first season, Amitabh Bachchan offered contestants a sum of winning money as one crore rupees which escalated to 2 crores rupees in 2001. This further increased and settled at Rs.5 crores as jackpot winning money from fourth season.

In 2005, Amitabh Bachchan announced KBC2 or ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati Dwitiya’. Amitabh Bachchan shot for a few episodes after which he fell ill and Star Plus abruptly ended the show. In the third season, host was replaced and Shahrukh Khan was chosen as the host. The show lasted for 3 months only from mid January 2007 to mid April 2007.

After a long gap, KBC again appeared in 2010 with season four and Amitabh Bachchan again as the host of the show. This season was highly successful and audience and participants were very happy with the return of their host Amitabh Bachchan. The show received high TRPs because of the popularity of Amitabh Bachchan. In 2010, the show promoted the slogan "Koi Bhi Sawaal Chota Nahin Hota"(no question is insignificant).

The fifth season took place in 2011 and its slogan was "Koi Bhi Insaan Chota Nahi Hota", (no person is smaller than the other). This season broke many TRP records. Sixth season took place in 2012 with slogan "Sirf Gyaan Hi Aapko Aapka Haq Dilata Hai", (only knowledge helps you get your rights). 2013 will witness the seventh season for KBC.
