Katrina Kaif violated airport rules

Basking in the joy of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, Katrina Kaif has this time hit the headlines for all wrong reasons. The diva who returned from ‘Dhoom 3’ Chicago shoot has violated the airport rules by re-entering the terminal.  Katrina Kaif on Sunday landed at Mumbai international airport at 5 pm. She walked through the green channel carrying no luggage.

Kat who was accompanied by her two assistants P Chaddha and Arun Sharma suddenly remembered that she has forgotten to collect her luggage signed in her name. She reportedly sent her two assistants back to the terminal to collect her forgotten language. Two assistants of Kat were caught by airport officials when they tried to walk out with Katrina's bags consisting an iPad, undeclared cash amounting to Rs 30,000 and two bottles of whisky which they had purchased from a duty-free shop.

P Chaddha was asked to pay penalty of Rs 2000 and Arun Sharma was fined for Rs 10,000 as penalty under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, which limits the amount of Indian currency a passenger can carry abroad.

Katrina Kaif without entering into the trouble left the airport. However, airport officials have claimed that Katrina will be called back to give an explanation about the alleged violation of airport protocol.

“Celebrities often complain that they are targeted by Customs. But, they should realise that everyone is equal in the eyes of law,” an official told.
