Katrina Kaif - The highest paid item girl

Item number is the easiest way of earning more money with lesser hardship. Producers crave to cast the prominent stars for promotional purpose if not for the entire film. Receiving 1.5 crore, Katrina Kaif has become the highest paid item girl in Bollywood.

Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and many others tried their hands in item numbers. Joining the bandwagon is Katrina Kaif with a whopping price. She is ready to shake her body for Shree Ashtavinayak’s 100-crore project Blue at 1.5 crore. Katrina accepted being paid such huge amount and said, “I am doing something very special in Blue. I wouldn’t call it an item number. I have given ten days for the film, May onwards. They require seven days for the song. The other bit will take three days.”

Four hits in a row have made her the industry’s most demanding actress. Initially, she disagreed to sign any item number as carrying the tag of item girl is not acceptable to her but when Shree Ashtavinayak decided to stretch her scene further, she accepted the offer. It is reported that Balaji Telefilms had also approached her for an item number for C Company but the fee was not satisfactory. After getting 1.5 crore, Katrina is not willing to lower down her fees.
