Katrina-Aditya starrer ‘Fitoor’ wraps up shooting

Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur starrer romantic drama ‘Fitoor’ has wrapped up its shooting. The film is a Bollywood adaption of Charles Dickens’ classic novel ‘Great Expectations’. Director Abhishek Kapoor took to Twitter to announce the completion of film’s shooting.

“And thts a picture wrap on #fitoor. 12th feb, here we come @guyintheskypics #katrinakaif #adityaroykapoor #greatexpectations," the director of ‘Kai Po Che!’ fame posted on the micro-blogging site on Friday (Oct 2).

‘Fitoor’ was in the news for its fresh paring of Katrina and Aditya, a lip-lock scene and an intimate scene between the lead pair that required endless rehearsals on their part. Initially, veteran actress Rekha was also cast in the film, but she opted out making way for Tabu.

While Katrina’s last movie ‘Phantom’ opposite Saif Ali Khan released in August this year, Aditya was last seen in 2014 film ‘Dawat-e-Ishq’ opposite Parineeti Chopra. The ‘Ashiqui 2’ actor will be seen in the role of Noor, an orphan who falls for Katrina’s Firdaus, protégée of a rich woman.

The film was shot across Kashmir, Delhi and Mumbai. The last leg of its shooting was held in art galleries of Poland. The film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Lara Dutta and Rahul Bhatt in important roles.

Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur’s UTV Motion Pictures, ‘Fitoor’ is slated to hit screens on Valentine Day weekend on February 12, 2016.
