Kareena wishes Priyanka success for her music album

The professional rivalry between Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor is well known. Kareena Kapoor has however decided to down play it. At a movie promotion she praised Priyanka’s international debut with her music album. She was quoted saying, “I am a big fan of Priyanka and her voice. I could relate more to Priyanka because she is a 'damdaar' (power-packed) actress, and I like her work."

The two acted for the first time together in ‘Aitraaz’ and later with Shahrukh Khan in ‘Don’. They also shared relationship with the same guy, Shahid Kapoor.

In 2007 Kareena had said that there are no good actresses in Bollywood expect her and Rani Mukerji. Prikanya however did not retaliate in the same way and has said, “Bebo is a more senior and hopefully more mature actress than me. I guess she's qualified to comment on my caliber.” She had also praised her role in ‘Jab We Met’.

In fact Kareena had praise for her other rivals too, like Deepika Padukone. Speaking on her and her beau Saif’s pairing, she said, “They make a fantastic pair. In 'Cocktail', Saif and Deepika were the heart of the film and so was the case in 'Love Aaj Kal'. I like to see both of them on screen. In fact I also like Priyanka and Saif as a pair on screen. It is 'badhiya jodi' (good pair).”

Most of the time they take a dig at each other. Be it Kareena and Priyanka or Kareena and Katrina. Throughout the year they are at loggerheads. Then suddenly at the launch of a film they start praising each other. We have seen that earlier in the male fiefdom. Salman and Shahrukh don’t share a good relationship. However before the release of ‘Ek tha Tiger’ Salman said he is ready to mend ties with Shahrukh.  Seems it has almost become a known strategy in Bollywood before the release of a major film. Forget, forgive and praise each other.

Kareena meanwhile is quite busy promoting her upcoming movie. She will be seen on Sony entertainment Television in the crime series ‘CID’ .In that particular episode she will be playing the role of a Bollywood diva. A mentally unstable person is afflicted by her charm. He writes love letters to her and one day in bid to come near her kills her bodyguard. It is then that the ‘CID’ team is called in.
