Kareena, Imran pair-up for Kjo's 'Gori Tere Pyar Mein'
After the success of ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’, Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan are again paired opposite each other for Karan Johar’s next flick titled, 'Gori Tere Pyar Mein'. Punit Malhotra of ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ fame will direct the movie. After a lot of brainstorming, Karan and Punit has zeroed on this title, 'Gori Tere Pyar Mein'. This will be Punit’s second film with Imran Khan and also second movie with Karan.
We have seen a weighty Kareena in ‘Fevicol Se’ item number from ‘Dabangg 2’ but Bebo will go slimmer for 'Gori Tere Pyar Mein'. She will shed her extra flab to get into the character. Kareena says, “Punit wants me to look ‘stylishly different’ in his film. Besides, there are five songs in the film, which require a lot of dancing.”
The film has a lot of dance sequences. There is a wedding
number (where Kareena and Imran’s characters meet), another is an item song.
“But it’s not like I am doing anything extreme. I will still be voluptuous, but the difference will be that my appearance will be more toned and fitter because I need to acquire such a look for my dance numbers,” she says.
In fact, for Punit’s film dancing is very important and for
that Kareena and Imran are going to rehearse their moves for 18-20 days before
shooting the songs. “The sets will be huge,” says the actor, who has just
returned from honeymoon in Switzerland
with husband Saif Ali Khan.
Asked about weight gain and loss, Kareena said, “It was the requirement of the song. I couldn’t have looked as lean and toned as in ‘Halkat jawani’ (her item song in Heroine; 2012) because ‘Fevicol se’ is a desi kind of number.”
For Punit’s film, Kareena is doing yoga for her new look. “I used to do a lot of power yoga but have started Iyengar yoga now, which is more difficult. I’ve already done two sessions and am feeling absolutely amazing,” she says.
'Gori Tere Pyar Mein' is slated to on floors in March 2013.
