Kareena cuts off Shahid from her new flick

Kareena Kapoor is basking in success. Her desire to work with director Imtiaz Ali again after the success of Jab We Met was finally fulfilled when Imtiaz approached her for his next untitled film. Imtiaz had extracted the chemistry of Shahid and Kareena in a very successful way in Jab We Met. It is a normal tendency of a director to recast that pair who created a wonderful chemistry. But he has to give up this thought as Kareena has requested Imtiaz to cast some another actor instead of Shahid as she and Shahid are no longer on talking terms.

Imtiaz realized the situation of Bebo and narrated the role to Akshay and he immediately grabbed the role. Kareena also expressed her dissatisfaction to Imtiaz when he had cast Deepika Padukone opposite Saif Ali Khan in Saif’s home production.

Imtiaz states, "I guess everyone assumed that Kareena would be part of it. Moreover as Saif is the producer, it was just taken for granted. I have heard that Kareena voiced her displeasure, but she did not directly say anything to me. As a director I have to see what the storyboard demands and accordingly do the casting. It’s not that there was any tussle on that front; the fact that we are working together again proves it."
