Very few know that Kangna Ranaut is Salman Khan’s lucky charm. The actress has been roped in to become the face of of Sohail Khan’s brother’s celebrity cricket team, Mumbai Heroes. On Salman Khan’s request Kangna has agreed to become the face of Sohail Khan's celebrity cricket team this year. When Salman approached Kangna she could not say no and agreed to present in every matches of Sohail’s team.

Despite hectic schedule, Kangna gave her nod to Sallu and Sohail. Kangna proved lucky for the Khan brothers last season and so they want her to present on the stadium this year too. “Though the first season last year wasn’t good, the team managed to win the matches for which Kangna was present at the stadium. Salman has requested her to continue being the team’s face and attend as many matches as possible to bring luck to the team,” says Vikas Kapoor, the co-owner, who owns the team along with actor Sohail Khan.

He adds, "She discusses the game regularly and encourages the players, inducing a positive vibe. That's the kind of people we want."

Not only Kangana but many Bollywood stars will be roped in to represent the team. "We will be announcing a couple of more names in the coming future. We may have two more ladies as there are some who want to come on board," says Vikas.

Captained by Suniel Shetty, the team includes Aditya Roy Kapoor, Yash Tonk, Indraneil Sengupta, Samir Kochhar and Rajneesh Gupta as the new players.

However, Riteish Deshmukh vice-captained the team but he has resigned and will support the team from out. Now who will replace Riteish as the vice captain of Mumbai Heroes is not yet decided.

"Anna (Suniel) and all the other players are working very hard on their practice and fitness sessions and they hope to do better this time," said a source.

Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) will kick-start on February 9.
