Kamal Hasaan discharged from hospital after surgery

Versatile actor Kamal Haasan got discharged from Apollo Hospital, Chennai. He suffered fracture on his right leg after he fell from the stairs of his office on July 13.

The actor was rushed to the Apollo Hospitals where he undergone surgery.

“On Wednesday night (July 13), he was taking the stairs and he suddenly slipped and lost control. The fall resulted in a minor fracture, but there’s nothing to worry. He has been admitted in the Apollo hospital,” a source close to the actor was quoted as saying.

Kamal Hassan was supposed to attend the London Indian Film Festival (LIFF) this weekend, but had to cancel his plans due to the injury. “He was supposed to receive the Lifetime Achievement award at LIFF, which unfortunately he can’t attend in this position,” the source said.

As per the reports, Kamal Hassan who is currently working on upcoming comedy ‘Sabaash Naidu’ will resume shooting after four weeks.

‘Sabaash Naidu’ titled ‘Shabhash Kundu’ in Hindi, is an upcoming Indian trilingual comedy-adventure film starring Kamal Haasan who is also directing it. It is also written and co-produced by him. Kamal Hassan reprises the role of Balram Naidu - a character which he played in his 2008 film ‘Dasavathaaram’.

For the first time, he is working with both his daughters Shruti and Akshara in the film. While Shruti plays his daughter in the film, Akshara has joined the team as an assistant director.

The next schedule of ‘Sabaash Naidu’ is most likely to take place in Hyderabad. The film is slated for release on December 1.
