Kajol and Karan Johar’s friendship turn sour

Best buddies Kajol and Karan Johar’s friendship has turned sour. The duo is no longer on talking terms and it is all because of their respective movies. The clash of the two movies, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and Karan Johar’s next directional venture ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ at the box-office this Diwali is the prime reason of the bitterness. Both the movies set to release on October 28.

According to an insider, Kajol even did not wish her best friend Karan Johar on his 44th birthday last May. The seriousness of the fight from be drawn from it.

At a media interaction of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9’on Tuesday, when he was asked about the impending box office contest, the filmmaker preferred to remain mum.

Says a source, “Before the event began, Karan had made it clear that he would give interviews only with Manish Paul [host of a dance reality show that he judges] by his side. He was probably expecting questions about the release date clash, and when the question was posed to him, he simply nodded. When there is no answer, there is no controversy.”

It was Ajay Devgn, who first announced the Diwali release date of his directional venture ‘Shivaay’ and later Karan Johar chose the same date. Kajol decided to take her hubby’s side.  She marked her social media comeback by sharing ‘Shivaay’ poster. Jay and Kajol decided their work, while Devgn is managing acting and directing, the actress taking care of the marketing sides.

Earlier, Devgn had spoken about the clash and said, “It’s a close-knit industry and whatever issues we have with each other we should sort amongst ourselves and not harm each other’s work. But everybody wants a great release date, so they have the right to choose any date for their film. If I take it personally, it will upset me, but if I look at it from a business point of view, then it’s fair enough.”

Hope, Kajol and Karan keep aside their professional fights and get back together again.
