Kajol gets teary eyes at the red carpet

Actress Kajol is busy with off-screen work these days although she is often seen in award functions and events. However, recently at an awards show she caught attention on the red carpet for an unusual reason. An onlooker who was present at the show says, "Kajol was in a very jovial mood as she posed for the cameras. She walked in alone for the event and post her red carpet entry, she met a fellow actress." But things took a different turn after that. Kajol spotted famous makeup artiste Mickey Contractor and went to have a chat. A source said, "Kajol knows Mickey for years now; they worked together in her debut film Bekhudi and since then, he has been a close friend of hers. He has done some of her non-film assignments as well, so she was very happy to meet him after a long time. In fact, she broke into tears as they caught up with each other."

However it was revealed that no one exactly knows why Kajol broke down in tears and everyone is making guesses. An onlooker claimed that she had a long conversation with Mickey Contractor and became emotional during their chat. He said, "Tears started rolling down her eyes even before she could realize it. In fact, some people were shocked to see her in this state but they later realised that nothing really had gone wrong. But she cried for a few minutes and then regained her composure. They spoke to each other for some more time and then sat through the awards ceremony." The reason for Kajol’s sudden tears remained elusive as she remained unavailable for comments.

Although she acts once in a while nowadays, Kajol’s career has established her as one of Bollywood’s most beloved heroines. She holds the record for most Filmfare awards in the Best Actress category. Her acting career started in 1992 when she was still a student. With the success of her 1993 thriller ‘Baazigar’ with Shahrukh Khan, her career jumpstarted and she became one of the top female stars of the decade. She and SRK remains one of Bollywood’s all time favorite on-screen couples. She has also won the Filmfare award for Best Villain for the film ‘Gupt’. It is a rare feat for mainstream Bollywood heroines. After her marriage to Ajay Devgn in 1999, she reduced her acting projects but has since delivered several critically acclaimed films like ‘Fanaa’ and ‘My Name is Khan’.
