Juhi Chawla to share screen space with Salman Khan
Bollywood’s bubbly star Juhi Chawla, who has worked with such stars as Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in her prime, reportedly said that she hoped someday she is paired with Salman Khan in a movie.
“I hope I get to work with Salman...he will not work with me because he hasn’t in all these years,” Juhi was quoted in the media.
“I don’t see that happening. But I never thought I will be working with Madhuri (Dixit)... so you never know. I would love to do anything which is justified on papers,” she had added.
Juhi and Madhuri were seen together for the first time in ‘Gulaab Gang’ where Juhi stole the show with her thunderous villainous role against Madhuri, who played the protagonist.
Juhi and Salman have been a part in a number of common films, but they never got to play as a pair.
According to reports, Juhi, who made an appearance on Karan Johar’s show ‘Koffee With Karan’ along with her contemporary Madhuri Dixit, had said that she would love to work with Salman Khan.
And some media persons took the occasion of April fool’s day to play a prank and said that Juhi’s wish was about to come true. Reportedly they said the lively actress would be seen opposite Salman Khan in an upcoming film that was yet to be named and that it was slated to go on the floors early next year.
After being crowned as the winner of the Miss India beauty contest in 1984, Juhi took up acting as a career. The star made her debut in ‘Sultanat’ in 1986 and received a wider recognition with the tragic romance ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’. Apart from working in Hindi films she has performed in a few Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Punjabi, Bengali and Kannada films as well.
In the 2000s, after starring in more than 70 mainstream Hindi movies, she began acting in art and independent films. She has also appeared in films in her native tongue Punjabi, and has been working in parallel cinema mainly.
The actress has also been on a mission to educate users on the dangers of mobile phone radiation, a ticking health time-bomb. She is also known to have been visiting schools, speaking at seminars, working with citizens groups and calling on ministers and authorities to stress on the point.
