John sings live on stage

Bollywood hunk John Abraham will be seen in a new role. He will don the hat of a singer for his film Aashayein and will perform live during the launch of the music of the film. Unfortunately, he was absent during the unveiling of the film as he was shooting in Miami for Karan Johar’s Dostana.

John was initially a bit nervous about singing live in the presence of a vast audience. But he is strictly following the phase that practice makes a man perfect and therefore practicing day and night to croon in perfect sur. Regarding his singing debut, John said, "Initially I was hesitant, but I liked the idea. I am not that great a singer but that's all right I guess. I will make a sincere effort."

The lyrics of the song go as 'Abhi Hai Ujala.' Music director duo Salim-Sulaiman is all praise for John and appreciating his effort. According to them, the song is so touching that it will touch everyone’s soul even if John fails to catch the right note. Nagesh Kukunor’s Aashayein will see a new way of music launch as apart from John, Shankar Mahadevan, Shreya Ghoshal and Zubin will rock at the Bandra Fort Amphitheatre.
