John Abraham, wife Priya to throw a private party

John Abraham has exchanged wedding vows with his girlfriend of three years Priya Runchal on New Year and the news came as a big surprise for his fans and colleagues as he tied the knot secretly in Los Angeles. Priya who is practicing in the US will arrive in India and after that John and Priya will throw a private party at his residence.

Priya Runchal, an investment banker and financial analyst will land in Mumbai in the first week of February as informed by John Abraham’s father and the newly wedded couple will start their new marital journey by a small party with close friends only.  John Abraham has few friend in the industry and Priya has none as she is not a frequent visitor to Mumbai and hardly knows anyone from the film industry.

The couple’s guest list comprises Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Rohit Dhawan, Sanjay Gupta and Shoojit Sircar among others. "Both John and Priya are very private people and so it will just be a very small get-together with friends," says a friend of the couple.

On January 4th, John Abraham returned to India sans Priya. The party will be arranged at John’s Bandra residence. The house is under renovation for the new bride. Priya who is pursing higher studies in London will shuffle between London and Mumbai till she completes her studies.  Her parents reside in London. She will finally settle down in India with her hubby and lead a full-fledged married life once she completes her higher studies.

The actor cum producer confirmed the news of his wedding via New Year tweet, "Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed 2014! May this year bring you love, good fortune and joy. Love, John and Priya Abraham."

Talking about Priya Runchal, John once said , “Priya is just a regular, super girl. She brings a lot of maturity to the relationship, and is very supportive. The good thing is that anyone in her place would love to be photographed, but there’s a sense of dignity and class that this girl has. I respect and love that. It’s an attractive quality. We make a great team."
