John Abraham dragged to court

A glass company has claimed the ownership of the building which John Abraham had purchased long back in 2006. According to the company, they had purchased the flat two months prior to him. To acquire the rights of the property, they had filed a case against him and also against the Orbit Finance, the proprietor of the property.

John purchased this 4,500 sq ft premises covering the entire fourth floor of new Prabhadevi's Orbit Plaza at Rs. 11.5 crore in 2006. To settle the issue outside the court, Orbit has approached the Parekh Glass Company (PGC) to purchase the entire second unit of the same building but PGC is adhere to have the ownership right of the fourth floor only.

John has however argued that he begun his payments from March 2006 much before the other purchaser came into the picture. The hearing of John’s case is in June. Chief Justice Swatanter Kumar and Justice V M Kanade will handle the case.
