Jodhaa Akbar may beat Om Shanti Om

Ashutosh Gowariker’s Jodhaa Akbar is collecting more applause and money day by day. It has grabbed an estimated $1.3 million in North America and $750,000 in the United Kingdom over the weekend. Though the film faced criticism in some parts of India, it has done fairly good business in the home land also. It is even estimated that if the film can drag more audience in the coming weeks in the Gulf countries, the Caribbean and Australia, it will touch an awesome $3 million. Speculation is that soon it will cross the success mark of Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om starring Shahrukh Khan in the lead role.

Farah Khan's OSO grossed about $3.8 million in North America and holds the record. Jodhaa Akbar is being viewed in large number in overseas and people are liking it for its splendid setting and exciting star cast. People feel that watching such type of film in multiplexes is a matter of great interest as they get to experience the essence of royalty in a better way. Jodhaa Akbar has also received good remarks from The New York Times. The report of US box-office is really impressive, Jodhaa Akbar is getting good response all over there but the result is little unimpressive in the Midwest.

Report is that if Jodhaa Akbar continues to lure the audience in the coming weeks too, very soon it will beat Om Shanti Om.
