Jasraj Joshi wins Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2012
Zee TV’s “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa” has provided the film industry and music lovers with many talented singers. The gifted and most popular singers of our country, right now, are Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal. Both of them had been participants of “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa” which gave them the platform to showcase their talent.
“Sa Re Ga Ma Pa” 2012 grand finale took place recently. The names that became the most popular this year were Mohd. Aman, Vishwajee Borwankar, Shenaz Akhtar and Jasraj Joshi. These talented singers saw their dreams finally get materialized as the show came to an end.
The winner who took home the trophy is Pune-based Jasraj Joshi. Shenaz Akhtar was hailed as the runner-up. Vishwajeet Borwankar landed on the third position whereas Mohammad Aman was voted fourth by the viewers.
Other than the trophy Jasraj got a bike and a one-year contract with the television channel.
The show that had been going on for four months finally has come to an end. 28 year old Jasraj Joshi from Pune had been one of the strongest contenders this year. Sajid-Wajid, his mentors, said “He truly deserves it.” Shankar Mahadevan who was a co-judge said at the occasion, “Jasraj will soon become a big super singing star because his singing is unbelievable.”
Jasraj had been a favorite of all the judges on the show. He impressed everybody with his unique singing style. “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” star-cast, Shah Rukh Khan, Ansuhka Sharma and Katrina Kaif had appeared on the show once. They heaped praises on him and seemed mesmerized by his melodious vocals.
The grand finale has been very entertaining. Telly soap actors, Gurmeet Chowdhry and Ankita Lokhande performed at the finale. The show’s host singer Javed Ali also performed a medley of all patriotic songs.
Popular Punjabi rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh also entertained the audiences with his peppy numbers such as Angrezi beat, Brown rang, Lonely and High heels.
The event was co-hosted by comedian Kapil Sharma and Jay Bhanushali.
Jasraj after winning the show said, “I am very happy that the four-month journey ended on a positive note. I never expected that I will win the show as all the other three contestants were good.”
He also added, “It has been eight-nine years since I have been trying to get an entry into the music industry. I tried several times, used to clear two-three rounds of auditions, but never got success. Later, I did some local shows and that experience helped me and I got lucky this time.”
He concluded by saying, “I want to get an entry into the music industry and establish myself as a playback singer.”
