Jagmohan Mudhra passes away
Filmmaker Jagmohan Mudhra died of cardiac arrest on Sunday morning. He was 62. On Friday, he had internal bleeding for which he was taken to Bombay Hospital at Marine Lines. He then had cardiac arrest and following which he was put on ventilation.
Mudhra was known for his noted work for his films like Kamla starring Shabana Azmi and Deepti Naval, Bawandar starring Nandita Das and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-starrer Provoked. His last offering was Govinda-starrer Naughty@forty. Mundhra was next planning a biopic on Sonia Gandhi.
Several Bollywood personalities expressed shock over Jagmohan Mudhra’s death. “Jagmohan Mundhra and his wife Chandra selflessly looked after people from Indian films in LA (Los Angeles). Looked after me for months when I first landed...I will miss him dearly,” filmmaker Shekhar Kapur tweeted. Anupam Kher said, “Can’t believe Jagmohan Mundhra passed away this morning. He was a delightful person.”
