Jackie Shroff’s wife Ayesha quizzed in CDR case

Thane police have recorded the statement of Jackie Shroff’s wife Ayesha Shroff in Call Details Record (CDR) leaks. So far 12 people have been arrested. During investigation, Ayesha’s name was surfaced.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime) Abhishek Trimukhe said, “We recorded the statement of Ayesha Shroff for over an hour on Thursday. She gave us some important information that we will corroborate during the course of our investigation.” The officer did not reveal what Ayesha had said as it would hamper their investigation.

Lawyer Rizwan Siddique, during interrogation said that Ayesha Shroff had obtained actor Sahil Khan’s call records and passed them on to him.

The Crime Branch recorded Mrs. Shroff’s statement to verify Mr. Siddiqui’s claim.

“Ms. Shroff came to the unit I office on Thursday morning. She disclosed certain facts, but we need to verify them before we can reveal anything,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhishek Trimukhe, Thane Crime Branch, said.

An officer said, “Shroff gave some information about her interaction with Siddique in connection with CDRs,” an officer linked to the case said.

Chheda, a detective based out of Kandivali, had sourced two CDRs from Makesh Pandian, a detective arrested in the case. “The CDRs were procured for two of his clients. Chheda was produced before the court on Thursday and remanded in police custody till April 17,” an officer said.
