Jackie Chan begins shooting for ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ in Jaipur


International action star Jackie Chan arrived in Jaipur early on Tuesday morning to shoot his upcoming Indo-Chinese venture 'Kung Fu Yoga'. The shooting for the film has been going on the city’s Mansingh Palace, Amber Fort.

After landing in the Pink City, Jackie headed straight for his hotel and took rest for a few hours. He joined the film sets in the afternoon and shot for his scenes. 'The Spy Next Door' actor had to walk three kilometres to the sets as cars aren’t allowed at the fort during the elephant safari, according to a report in The Times of India.

Fans who had been waiting for hours to catch a glimpse of the Chinese superstar were left disappointed, as they weren't allowed to enter the area. Jackie will be staying in the Rajasthan city for about 15 days.

Besides Jackie, the movie also stars Bollywood actor Sonu Sood in the lead along with Amyra Dastur and Disha Patani.

The film’s unit has set up a local market inside the palace premises for shooting purpose. Amyra was spotted shooting some action sequences along with co-star Li Zi Long, in a market set-up.

According to a crew member, the cast will shoot in Amber Fort till March 25, after which they will shoot at the City Palace from March 26-28. The unit will then fly down to Jodhpur on March 29, where they will be shooting a dance number at Umaid Bhawan Palace. Sonu Sood will join the cast in Jodhpur along with Farah Khan, who will choreograph the dance.

Directed by Stanley Tong, the action comedy film will also be shot in China and some other countries. After completing shooting in Rajasthan, the cast and crew will head to Beijing for the next schedule.
