It’s a rumour: Varun Dhawan on film with Big B

Varun Dhawan has rubbished reports that he will share screen space with megastar Amitabh Bachchan, but added that he would love to work with the legendary actor.

There were reports that Big B and Varun will feature in Pradeep Sarkar’s film ‘Dabba Gul’, to be produced by Yash Raj Films. It was said that Amitabh Bachchan had already given his not, but Varun was yet to confirm, as he has been keeping busy with his other projects.

When asked about the reports, the ‘Dishoom’ actor said, “It's a rumour and nothing has been confirmed." He added, “Who wouldn't want to work with Big B? But as of now, this is just a rumour."

‘Dabba Gul’ is said to be a slice-of-life film about the dabbawalas of Mumbai, in which an MBA student joins them for internship to learn their way of business.

Meanwhile, Varun is shooting for ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ opposite Alia Bhatt, being directed by Shashank Khaitan. It is a sequel to their 2014 film ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhani’ and is slated to release on March 10 next year.

On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan has been roped in for YRF’s ‘Thug’ which will also feature Aamir Khan. The film will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya of ‘Dhoom’ fame.
