Ranbir and Shahid battles it out for Aamir's next ‘Peekay’!
Rajkumar Hirani’s next movie Peekay will star Amir Khan against the new Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma.
Rajkumar Hirani who hails from Nagpur was born to a Sindhi family. He tried his luck as a film editor. He established himself in the advertising world and was known for his work on the fevicol ad. Later he started working with Vidhu Vinod Chopra and worked on the promos and trailers of the movie 1942: A Love Story followed by his break as a film editor in the movie Mission Kashmir.
The director’s debut Munnabhai MBBS (2003) followed by Lage Raho Munna Bhai and 3 Idiots won accolades, awards and box office register at the same time.
Raju Hirani as he is fondly known has made sure that every act in each of these was inscribed in the heads of his audience. Not just for those 3 hours but for a longer duration. All of his directorial acts made sure his viewers went back to watch the movies all over again.
After 3 Idiots, this is the second time that Hirani will cast Aamir Khan as his lead actor in his next Peekay. The movie is making news and gathering eyeballs since its conceptualization.
The latest rumor making rounds is that there will also be a younger actor in the movie. Alongside Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma we may see either Ranbir Kapur or Shahid Kapur as the younger role.
"Both are popular actors and share a healthy rivalry in addition to a good friendship. Hirani is impressed with their bodies of work, which is why he has considered them for the role of the younger character in the film. Hirani always had these two in mind, contrary to the rumors involving various other actors. He will make his decision soon" says An inside source.
The director’s Spokesperson further says confirming the news pieces for us “Yes, Shahid and Ranbir are the only two names being considered to play the younger lead."
However Hirani has kept the script under cover as of now and will reveal it later, as for now the shooting will commence by the end of December.
We hope that the
movie will do better than the last three of Hirani’s directorial acts. The
curiosity being built up we hope to get the results of this battle between the
