The new buzz doing the rounds of the Hindi film industry these days is that Ayesha Takia will be quitting films for marriage. Ayesha Takia is the bubbly girl next door who made her debut in the film Tarzan and has acted in several films like Socha Na Tha, Home Delivery and Shaadi No 1.
The news has been doing the rounds after the actress quit Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. However, according to Ayesha’s father, these rumors are completely baseless and untrue. He states that Ayesha is just 20 years old, and also her career has just started, there is no way that she will quit right now. He also clarifies that Ayesha had never signed a contract for Honeymoon Travels, but talks were on. However, she decided to go ahead with Nagesh Kukunoor’s Aashayien and will not be able to give dates to both films simultaneously and hence opted out of the film.
Honeymoon Travels produced by Farhan Akhtar seems to be jinxed as far as the casting is concerned, as earlier even Konkana Sen Sharma as well as John Abraham have opted out of the film citing date problems.
Ayesha Takia has also received a marriage proposal from a young fan. However, this fan happens to be far too young, he is a 12 yr. old boy. This young lad sent his pictures to Ayesha and kept sending her letters asking her to reply to his proposal. He also claimed that he would allow Ayesha to continue doing films even after marriage. Now that’s what a true lover does for his ladylove. Ayesha, however, found this entire episode extremely sweet and adorable.
Ayesha Takia’s forthcoming films include Subhash Ghai’s Shaadi Se Pehle, Ekta Kapoor’s Kya Love Story Hai and Geet with Imtiaz Ali. We hope that Ayesha Takia has a long and successful career in Bollywood.
