Infamous Bollywood fights: Salman, Hrithik, Shahrukh, Vivek....
Rivalries always existed in Bollywood between the stars but it never manifested itself too explicitly in the old days. But things have surely changed because these days stars are not shy about getting physical in public. The example of this is the infamous Salman Khan/ Shahrukh Khan scuffle back in 2008. Even without getting physical, the stars know how to take on each other. Here are some not so shining instances:
Two young Turks of Bollywood, Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor reportedly had a heated argument at a party organized by Ranbir Kapoor. As per sources, Ranveer began discussing about his girlfriend and Ranbir’s ex, Deepika Padukone. Ranveer taunted Ranbir for his ‘loss’ by saying Deepika is the hottest girlfriend he has ever dated. Eventually Ranbir Kapoor asked Ranveer singh to shut up. However, Ranbir later denied the incident.
Shahrukh Khan made headlines in 2012 when he slapped director Shirish Kunder. The incident took place at the ‘Agneepath’ success party organized by Sanjay Dutt. Shirish and his wife Farah Khan were close friends with SRK. But Shirish apparently was sour at SRK for not doing his film ‘Joker’. He made fun of SRK’s dream project ‘RA-One’ on Twitter. Several eye witnesses claim that at the party, Shirish was constantly bugging SRK with snide comments. Finally SRK snapped and got physical with Shirish Kunder. Eventually Shirish and Farah made peace with SRK.
Salman publicly rubbished Hrithik Roshan’s film ‘Guzaarish’ after it flopped. The reason was perhaps ex-girlfriend Aishwarya’s involvement in the film. Hrithik retorted by Tweeting "it's not too heroic to make fun of other people's hard work". Sources claim that Salman also stopped the promotion of Hrithik’s film ‘Agneepath’ on his show Bigg Boss.
In 2008, perhaps Bollywood’s most infamous fight took place between SRK and Salman Khan. At Katrina Kaif’s birthday party, they reportedly came to blows following arguments involving their TV shows and the ever sensitive subject, Salman’s ex-Aishwarya. No one less than Aamir Khan tried to make peace between them but failed. Although these days they formally greet each other at parties and events, things are not the same between the once close friends.
In 2003-2004, then upcoming star Vivek Oberoi accused Salman Khan of harassing and threatening him. The reason, once again was Aishwarya Rai who had then recently broken up with Salman. Vivek was close to Ash at that point of time and that made Salman angry. While Vivek made these allegations at a press conference, Salman never reacted. Later Vivek and Ash broke up and Vivek never made it big in Bollywood. Since then Vivek is trying to patch up but Salman has never shown any interest of doing that.
