‘India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj’ back after 10 years

There are many reality shows on TV that are based around dancing and singing. But when it comes to acting based reality shows, you cannot think of many. One of the earliest shows in this segment was ‘India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj’ that was telecasted on Zee TV. The winners from the first season were Aditi Sharma from Punjab and Sarwar Ahuja from Hyderabad. Now after ten years, the show is all set to return on air. The show with its all new look will work as a platform where a person can showcase his/ her acting skills to the world. The show is dedicated to everyone who ever dreamt of acting on the big screen.  The show has an impressive lineup of people who will be involved with it. Sonali Bandre and director Vijay Krishna Acharya would be fulfilling the responsibility of the judges, while popular young stars Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurana will be seen mentoring the hopeful contestants. The show will be hosted by Hussain Kuwajerwala.

For Ayushmann Khurana, it will be a unique experience to be a part of the show because years ago he was rejected from this very show due to his unconventional looks. He said, "It was the spring of 2003 when I auditioned for season one of India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj and I was rejected…It's quite surreal that I am on the panel as a Bollywood buddy (friend) this time. I remember in 2003 I was this nerdy looking thin guy with spectacles. (I was) not six feet tall conventional hero type. But that was ten years back."

Ayushmann later came to the spotlight after winning another reality show albeit of a different nature, ‘MTV Roadies’.  The actor later made a successful debut in Bollywood with the 2012 film, ‘Vicky Donor.’  He accepted that the situation has changed for the better in Bollywood. He said, "Now times have changed and it is the golden era of Indian cinema. We have gone beyond nepotism. This is the time where anybody with decent amount of talent can be an actor." Parineeti also spoke to the media on the occasion of the launch of her first TV show. She said, "I was in their place two years ago when I auditioned for my films and I managed to do three-four films after that. I hope a few of these contestants, or at least one of them, get a film and do very well in their lives."  The new season of ‘India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj’ will kick-off on July 5th at ZEE TV.
