Inder Kumar burnt rape victim with cigar, send to police custody
Bollywood actor Inder Kumar who has been accused of raping his girlfriend consecutive for two nights was sent to police custody till April 30th. The girl accused Inder Kumar of raping and physically assaulting her consecutively for two days and claimed that she however managed to escape from his Andheri apartment on Friday. The girl said that Inder called her up and raped her in pretext of landing role in films and he molested her and burnt her with cigarette.
The 40-year-old actor who was arrested by Versova police was produced before Bandra magistrate and will remain under police custody for four days. The rape victim further claimed that she was thrashed and hit by a beer bottle. The victim who is a model has wound and burnt marks in her body.
While during interrogation, Inder Kumar said that he was being framed and that he had consensual sex with his girlfriend. The prosecution said that they require time to probe the fault of the actor.
However, Inder’s wife stands in full support of the actor saying her husband is innocent and being trapped by the model who threatened Inder to involve in a relationship with her otherwise, she would end her life. The actor's lawyer Amrendra Padgaonkar said there was no any fight between Inder and his wife. On April 24th, the couple came to the police station to lodge a complaint against the model but the police officer told that they can’t take any action at the moment as they were busy in election duty.
The actor had worked in several Bollywood movies, including 'Wanted', 'Maa Tujhhe Salaam', 'Baaghi', 'Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi' and 'Masoom'.
Following the complaint made by the rape victim, actor was booked under IPC sections 376 (punishment for rape), 324 (causing grievous hurt), 342 (wrongful confinement) and 506 (2)(criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), police said.Police said that the actor had a troubled relationship with his wife in the past and that both were staying separately.
