Ajay Devgan is busy with several large scale action projects at the moment but looks like he has decided to take it one at a time. Recently Prabhudheva the director of Ajay Devgan’s film ‘Action Jackson’ has postponed the shooting of the film’s climax till the month of July. The reason behind the delay is Ajay’s other film ‘Singham Returns’ which is taking up his entire pre-monsoon season. "This is the way Ajay planned the releases. He wants to complete Singham Returns first. The climax of Action Jackson, which is pending, would now be shot in the monsoon," a source close to the production has revealed.

Although Prabhudheva obliged with the actor he is nonetheless a concerned man, "It's a very tough climax involving a large volume of cast, crew, finances and labor. But July would also be the time for torrential rains. So, I am keeping my fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong." This delay means that it is unlikely the film will get to release before early next year (2015).  To avoid any complication during July’s rainy season, the director wanted to shift the shooting location of the film from Film city studios in Mumbai to Hyderabad.

However, the producers are insisting that the shooting should be done in Mumbai. Despite everything Prabhudheva remains upbeat, “We had no choice but to shift the climax to July as Ajay is busy with Singham Returns. But I’m sure everything will be fine. This is the first time I’ve worked with Ajay Devgan and I can tell you for sure this is going to be one of his most special films. Not only are his action sequences in ‘Action Jackson’ unique, Ajay has also done a straight-faced humor here which would bring the roof down. No matter when we release Ajay’s fans will be happy.”

Apart from Ajay Devgan, ‘Action Jackson’ also stars, Sonakshi Sinha, Yami Gautam, and Kunaal Roy Kapur. The film also introduces south Indian actor Anandaraj in the Bollywood industry. Originally Prabhudheva wanted to make a remake of the super hit Telugu film ‘Dookudu’ with Ajay Devgan playing the role of Mahesh Babu’s in the original. But Ajay demanded a fresh script from the director because he had a bad experience with a remake in ‘Himmatwala’.  Prabhudheva then came up with the script of ‘Action Jackson’ and Ajay agreed to do it. There is a 1988 Hollywood film of the same name but whether it shares the same story is not clear at this point.
