Imran Khan fans want him back on Twitter before ‘Katti Batti’ release

Bollywood actors and filmmakers are making good use of social media platform like Facebook and Twitter to promote themselves as well as their films, but Imran Khan is one actor who doesn’t have a social media account.

The trailer of Imran’s upcoming film ‘Katti Batti’ was released recently and was well received by the audience. They are now hungry to know more about the film and are hoping that the actor returns to Twitter to promote his film.

Imran who debuted with ‘Jane Tu...Ya Jane Na’ in 2008, has a huge fan following among the youth and all are eagerly waiting to see the actor back on the micro-blogging site. The 32-year-old actor had a Twitter account in 2009 as the makers of one of his films wanted to promote it online. But after the release of the film he had deactivated the account in mid 2010.

According to the ‘I Hate Love Storys’ actor, he is not good socially. Revealing why he was not on Twitter, the actor had said, “I like small, intimate gatherings where you can engage with people one-on-one and you can actually formulate opinions about one another honestly, organically. In my opinion, what is wrong about Twitter is that it gives everyone access to you.”

With ‘Katti Batti’, the actor would be appearing on the silver screen after a gap of over one year. His last film was ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ opposite Kareena Kapoor in 2013, which didn’t do very well at the box office.

‘Katti Batti’ which also stars Kangana Ranaut, is a contemporary love story between two opposite characters whose relationship hits a roadblock. The film directed by Nikhil Advani and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures is going to release on September 18.
