If there is Rajjo in ‘Dabangg 3’, I will play it: Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi Sinha has played many characters on-screen over the years but she is still remembered by her first on-screen character ‘Rajjo’ from ‘Dabangg’. Sonakshi debuted in Bollywood with ‘Dabangg’ and the sequel also had her in the female lead. Now that ‘Dabangg 3’ is on the cards, it is still unsure whether the makers would repeat her after stories of differences between Salman and Sonakshi is doing the round. But the ‘Dabangg’ girl confirmed that she will play Rajjo if the character of Rajjo has been here in the film.
By saying this Sonakshi has put the speculation of her in the film has been died down. "The script is not in place as they (makers) are still working on it. I (my character) havent died in "Dabangg 2". Rajjo (Sonakshis character) will always be Rajjo irrespective of how they take the story forward like either there are additions or subtractions made to the cast. If there is a character of Rajjo in "Dabangg", it will always be played by me," Sonakshi said in an interview here.
However, the ‘Lootera’ actress is open to even play a cameo in the third installment of the successful franchise. "Even if they (makers) need me for guest appearance I will still do it," she added.
She feels its her debut film ‘Dabangg’ that brought her into limelight. "I am what I am today because of "Dabangg" and because of my role in the film. Its my first film and my character I will always be grateful and loyal to that film," she added.
Sonakshi also informed that neither the producer-director Arbaaz Khan and nor Salman have spoken to her on ‘Dabangg 3’.
"There is lot of speculation happening. One day media writes I am doing it, other day it says I am not doing it. There is no conversation about Dabangg 3 between us (Salman, Arbaaz and me) as the script is not ready," she said.
"So I would request media to stop speculating. When the time is right, producer Arbaaz will say," she added.
Currently, Sonakshi is shooting for A R Murugadosss ‘Akira’ alongside Anurag Kashyap and Konkana Sen Sharma.
