Bollywood actress Monica Bedi who was evicted from Bigg Boss season 2 accepted being in a relationship with gangster Abu Salem but strongly denied marrying him. "I was never married to Abu Salem, I only lived with him for a year. I loved him, but it is not the same anymore. I last spoke to him on September 18, 2002 - the day we were arrested. I have not been in touch with him since then. I really don't know how media got our quotes even when we were in prison. I am not with him anymore and have got nothing to do with him at all", Monica was quoted as saying.
Monica was arrested with her boyfriend in 2002 for carrying forged passport. She emphasized on the point that when she met Abu Salem, she was least acquainted with his real identity. When she came to know about him, it was too late for any changes. Monica said that though he is an underworld don, his feelings for her was completely genuine. He cared for her and feared that police would chase her and tortured her to know his whereabouts.
But today Monica has put a step forward towards leading a blissful and decent life. She wanted to dump the past and create a new identity for herself. Her participation in Bigg Boss is her first move. Through Bigg Boss, she wanted to show the world that she is not a bad girl. But three weeks time has been insufficient for her.
