From the ramp to music videos to ad films to Bollywood - this Bengali beauty has definitely come a long way....
...metro catches up with Bipasha Basu before her next release, Vikram Bhatt’s Aetbaar, which will hit theatres soon.
Excerpts from an interview:
Do you think that Aetbaar will do well at the box office?
I have aetbaar in Aetbaar but I am the kind of person who does not have expectations from anything. We have all worked very hard for this film and I hope it does well.
Being a Bengali, why haven’t you considered acting in any Bengali films?
Actually, I have been offered many Bengali films but because I had other commitments I was unable to do them. But now I am seriously looking at a few projects in Bengali. Bengali cinema boasts of intense characterisation and I am looking forward to doing a film.

Your onscreen chemistry with John is very intense. Do you share the same chemistry with other co-stars as well?
I believe that good chemistry is essential for a film. And this is only my second film with John. I don’t know about other actors but I sure hope that I share the same chemistry with them.
How was it working with Amitabh Bachchan?
It was amazing to work with Amitabh Bachchan. I play his daughter in the film. I share a great relationship with my dad and there were times when my interaction with Amitabh Bachchan was so real that I felt like I was talking to my father.
