Out Of Control is going to hit the theatres this week. Are you nervous?
No, not really! I have never been the nervous kind! I remember in school when we use to collect our report cards, all my friends would be chewing their nails in nervousness but I was the one who was as cool as a cucumber. Que sera sera whatever will be, will be!
Don't you expect the film to do well at the box-office?
I don't keep expectations from anything or anybody. Guess that is my nature. I worked sincerely. That is what matters to me, irrespective of the outcome of the film.
Tell us something about Out Of Control…
My character is called Jimmy who air dashes to the US hunting for work. Because of immigration problems he is compelled to marry a foreigner. Back home he has to give in to his family demands and marry the girl of his parents choice. The situation goes Out Of Control when the both the wives meet up in the US. It's a comedy with a dash of romance.
How was it working with Brande Rodricks?
When I first heard that she was going to play my American wife in the film, I thought "Wow! The hot Baywatch chic!" Later of course I became her good friend. She is sweet! Brande adjusted to the unit in all possible ways. She used to eat Indian food. Speak with us in Hindi. Also go out with us. It was a wonderful experience.
There's also Satish Shah who is playing gay in the film…
He is not actually gay. Satish is playing a drag queen. Before the interval, the film has subtle romance. After the interval there is absolute chaos. You have to see the film to believe it.
What other films you have on hand?
Well as off now I have Indra Kumar's Masti. I'm shooting for it. I will soon begin to shoot for E.Niwas' Bardhast. It is a serious film.
