Hrithik Roshan walks out of ‘Shuddhi’ for money

Gossip mills churn that Hrithik Roshan has walked out of Karan Johar’s highly anticipated movie, ‘Shuddhi’ for monetary issue. It is rumoured that Hrithik wanted a higher percentage of profits of the film which was not accepted by Karan Johar. Following which, the Greek God of Bollywood Hrithik Rohan walked out of the film.

However, Karan Johar took to twitter to deny the report and called it a total “baseless, untrue and completely uninformed” report. It is said that Hrithik asked for 40 percent profit share of the film but Karan is not ready to share profit with him.

Karan tweeted, “Article insinuating that Hrithik asked for a large percentage of profit for #Shuddhi is baseless, untrue and completely uninformed...

In the past, Hrithik issued a press statement in which he had confirmed that he is no longer a part of ‘Shuddhi’ but there was no mention of money.

“Karan Malhotra and I have decided to unite in the most ambitious way post ‘Shuddhi’. For now I cannot allow a vision like Shuddhi to stagnate any further. I had the finest experience an actor can have working with Karan M in 'Agneepath' and I'm sure both my dear Karans are going to go beyond with this one! ‘Shuddhi’ remains a part of me in spirit & am sure it will be a landmark in our cinema. I wish them all the best!”

Ill health and troubled married life was cited as the prime reason of the hunk opting out of the film.

After Hrithik walked out of ‘Shuddhi’, Kareena Kapoor also quit the film. Karan has declared the release date of the film but as per the latest report there has been no confirmation of the star cast. According to the latest report, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh chose Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ over Karan’s ‘Shuddhi’.
