Hrithik Roshan refuses Yash Raj film
Hrithik Roshan created quite an impact in his Yash Raj film, Dhoom 2. However now according to sources Hrithik has reportedly refused to do another film under the Yash Raj banner. Hrithik has apparently given the standard ‘no dates’ excuse, but sources claim that the real reason is that Hrithik is only interested in doing films under his home production, Film Kraft.
Hrithik has a good rapport with the Yash Raj banner as he has done films under their banner earlier. Dhoom 2 which was produced under the Yash Raj banner was quite successful. However sources claim that recently Aditya Chopra had approached Hrithik for a film. However Hrithik has supposedly already turned down the other film and used the excuse of not having any dates for Aditya’s film. Some sources also claim that Hrithik was being offered a role alongside Shahrukh in the Yash Raj film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. A source claims “When Adi approached Hrithik, he declined the offer and gave him the clichéd reason of having a date problem.” Hrithik claimed that he had to start shooting for Anurag Basu’s film from March and Aditya was keen to start shooting in May itself. However sources claim another reason for Hrithik turning down the Yash Raj film, a source claims “All directors going for script narrations to Hrithik get the standard line of ‘why don’t you make this film for my dad’s banner’.” Sources claim Hrithik is only interested in doing films under his home production, Film Kraft. In fact even his next film with Anurag Basu is co produced under his home production, Film Kraft.
It has been reported that since Hrithik turned down the Yash Raj film, Aditya gas decided to scrap the project for the time being and concentrate on his film, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi with Shahrukh Khan. Hrithik has delivered his most successful and popular films and roles under his father, Rakesh Roshan’s banner Film Kraft. Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish, his home productions have both been a turning point in his career. Hence he has probably decided to only work in his home production.
