Hrithik Roshan, Pooja Hegde turn heads at ‘Mohenjo Daro’ launch
Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde, along with director Ashutosh Gowariker launched their upcoming period film ‘Mohenjo Daro’ at an event and kicked off the promotions. The media event was held at JW Mariott in Juhu, Mumbai on June 12.
Hrithik formally introduced Pooja who is making her debut with the epic adventure-romance. Pooja first appeared in a white saree and a floral tiara, a costume that she wore in the film and seen in the trailer. She then changed into a blue gown by Swapnil Shinde. Hrithik looked dashing in a black Anita Dongre pathani suit which he teamed with a blue stole.
Hrithik and Pooja who play the characters of Sarman and Channi respectively in the movie, gave a glimpse of their chemistry as the performed the steps of the film’s romantic song ‘Tu Hai’. Hrithik also performed the signature dance step from the hit song ‘Ek Pal Ka Jeena’ from his debut ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’.
The other cast of the film including Arunoday Singh, Sharad Kelkar, Manish Chaudhary and Nitish Bharadwaj were also present at the event. Bhushan Kumar and Siddharth Roy Kapur, who have co-produced the film with Ashutosh, also attended the launch.
Arunoday who plays a negative character in the film sported a white T-shirt and denims. He finished the look with a black blazer and formal shoes. Two-time Academy winning composer A R Rahman who composed the music for the film and also lent his voice to a few songs, gave a stunning performance at the event.
‘Mohenjo Daro’ is slated to hit screens on August 12.
