Hrithik Roshan opens up on his tiff with Salman Khan
Reports about a fall-out between Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan have been doing the rounds ever since the two Bollywood stars returned from Spain after attending the recently concluded 17th IIFA Awards.
According to reports, the ‘Sultan’ actor was miffed with Hrithik for not keeping his request of taking Daisy Shah for the segment of his performance which required a female dancer, at the event. After initially agreeing to Salman’s suggestion, Hrithik spoke to the award organisers Wizcraft and threatened to pull out if he was forced to dance with the ‘Jai Ho’ actress.
Hrithik ultimately performed with a female dancer from Shiamak Davar’s team. When Salman got to know about the ‘Bang Bang’ actor’s conversation with the organisers, he was very irritated, a report in DNA had stated quoting sources.
However, it appears that the two actors are very much in touch and there is no bad blood between them. Hrithik revealed that whatever is being written about him and Salman and their fractured friendship is "nonsense," and added that all is well.
"Although I've been out of the country, I've been on the phone with Salman about ‘Sultan’ ever since we met in Madrid for an awards function. I missed the screening that he had for his friends before release. But he promised me my own screening the minute I return to India. I can't wait to see the film," a report in Hindustan Times quoted Hrithik as saying.
Though Hrithik and Salman share cordial relations, the latter had some years back made a scathing comment about Hrithik’s movie ‘Guzaarish’. Saying that not too many people have watched the film, the actor remarked, ‘film ('Guzaarish') ko ek kutta bhi dekhne nahi gaya (even a dog didn’t go to watch the film."
To this, Hrithik had responded graciously saying that it was unheroic and unfair to make fun of films which aren't at par with others. He pointed out that success should make one more gracious and loving, and people should use the power to turn "enemies into friends" and be more giving than laugh at others.
Meanwhile, Salman’s latest release ‘Sultan’ is shattering records at the box-office, while Hrithik is gearing up for his film ‘Mohenjo Daro’, which is slated to hit theatres on August 12.
