Hrithik, Katrina spotted shooting for 'Bang Bang'
People in Mumbai are quite used-to, when it comes to celeb spotting. If a person lives in the island city, it is not surprising for him or her to spot Bollywood celebrities at a shopping complex or come across a star at a swanky spa nearby. But, it is not the same with folks living in the capital. And so, naturally Delhites go bonkers when they see a couple of Bollywood celebs in their neighborhoods.
On Sunday, as most people in Delhi were stuck to TV sets watching the Indo-Pak cricket match, folks in East Delhi were peering out of windows to catch glimpses of actors Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan shooting close to the Mayur Vihar Metro station for their film ‘Bang Bang’.
The area, where the shooting was going on, was shut-off for most of the Sunday. Traffic was diverted, which finally caused a horrible congestion in the city.
According to reports, most of the cast and crew of ‘Bang Bang’ were there with film equipment, food stalls, including water dispensers placed in the middle of the street at Mayur Vihar. The unit had taken an official permission to shoot in the area. Police protection was also offered to them. But finally, there was complete chaos with massive traffic snarls in the city.
Reports in newspapers said the shooting ran into trouble for causing traffic congestion and was stopped in the afternoon by the Delhi Traffic Police.
A daily quoted a source saying, “As soon as Hrithik was informed about the situation, he decided to take charge. He then met with the Delhi Police Commissioner to sort out the issue.”
‘Bang Bang’ is an action thriller movie directed by Siddharth Raj Anand, and produced by Fox Star Studios. The film is an official remake of ‘Knight And Day’ starring Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise.
The shooting for the film began in June 2013. And during the shoot in Phuket, Thailand, Hrithik had jumped from a height of 30 feet and had sustained a brain injury for which he had to undergo a brain surgery in Mumbai to remove the blood clot. Doctors had asked him to take rest, which delayed shooting of the film.
Katrina and Hrithik were seen
earlier in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. Katrina also appeared in a
special song and dance sequence in Hrithik’s ‘Agneepath’. ‘Bang Bang’ has
brought the actors together again.
