Hotel owner abuses Bipasha Basu
Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu has been harassed by a five star hotel owner after she refused to be a part of his birthday party in New Delhi. Bips was in Delhi to promote her latest fitness DVD. She was supposed to attend a party at the hotel but when she came to know that it was also a birthday celebration of Ashok Mittal, chairman of Hotel Ramada Plaza, she did not turn up.
Bipasha Basu’s absence has made the owner furious and then he abused the actress. According to the eyewitness, Mittal created a commotion outside the actress’ room. An official from Shemaroo says, “It was never mentioned it was the chairman’s birthday. Due to misrepresentation of facts, we decided Bipasha won’t attend.”
While Ashok Mittal says, “Bipasha was being greedy, demanding Rs 30 lakh to attend the party. We had a contract, signed by Basu, which states she was to make an appearance at the party.”
Shemaroo Entertainment have to pay the hotel Rs. 10,40,000 as a compensation.
