Here’s why Shahid-Mira not yet named their baby

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput welcomed their first child on August 26 but the proud parents is yet to name their darling daughter. Why so late? Here’s the reason. Both the Kapoor and Rajput families are an ardent followers of Radha Soami sect and the parents want Baba Gurinder Singh, head of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB) to help them to select a suitable name for their child.

As per the plan, in a couple of days Mira, Shahid and the actor’s father Pankaj Kapur will take off to Amrtisar, where the Baba resides.

Says a source, “Both Shahid and Mira’s families are staunch followers of the Radha Soami sect. So, it’s natural that they want their daughter to be blessed by Guruji (Baba Gurinder Singh) . And they'll also consult him for the name that’s most suitable for her."

Adds the source, "Pankaj Kapur's current plan is to travel with his son and daughter-in-law, however it is still not known if any other family member would join them.”

Accommodation for the family will provided by RSSB at Amritsar.

Radha Soami sect played a very important role in Shahid-Mira’s nuptial. The couple first met at an RSSB meeting and there Baba Gurinder Singh had suggested the match to the respective families.  The elders were happy to agree his suggestion and the Delhi based Mira Rajput girl became Shahid Kapoor’s better-half on July 7, 2015.
