Govinda and Karishma Kapoor to share screen after 15 years

Bollywood’s hit pair of the 1990 Govinda and Karisma Kapoor will once again share screen after a long gap of 15 years, albeit not in any film, but on the small screen.

Both the actors will be seen together on the set of dance reality show ‘Dance India Dance Super Moms’, being aired on Zee TV, on the day of the show’s grand finale on June 13.

Chi Chi and Lolo will match their steps to some of their chartbusters of that era bringing alive some fond memories from the past.

Remembering the bygone days, Govinda said in a statement, “It was a nostalgic moment when we danced again after a long time.” It is a pleasure to share the stage with Karisma as she is one of those actors who can take any song to the next level with her electrifying performance and sheer passion for dance, he added.

The actor is a judge on the dance show along with choreographers Geeta Kapoor and Terence Lewis.

Govinda and Karishma were last seen together in ‘Shikari’ that released in 2000.

The actors have worked together in several hit films like ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Coolie No.1’ ‘Hero No. 1’, ‘Dulara’, Saajan Chale Sasural’ and others. The popular songs of the pair include ‘Main toh raste se ja raha tha’, ‘Yaad sataye teri’, ‘Sona kitna sona hai’, ‘Husn hai suhana’ among many others.
