Gauri Khan parties with Shahrukh's rival Salman Khan

This diwali Gauri Khan gave everybody a piece of gossip after she attended Salman’s diwali bash. What kept the tongues wagging was the absence of hubby Sharukh from the bash.

Salman threw a diwali party along with his brother Sohail which was attended by whose’s who of Bollywood. Salman arrived at the party along with his sister Arpita. Salman was wearing a black vest showing his muscular body. Amrita Arora was also present with her husband. But Shahrukha Khan sent a clear message by his absence from the party.

Shahrukh and Salman were one time good friends and co-actors in a number of movies. They acted together in ‘Karan Arjun’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and ‘Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam’. But they fell out in a birthday party of Katrina Kaif a few years back. Salman was then boyfriend of Katrina. At that party, they had verbal altercations and after that they never did a movie together. However in a recent interview, SRK revealed that he had no qualms working with Salman. He said, “The producers and directors should come up with a good script ....Inshallah if there is a chance we will work together. If it happens good, and if it doesn't, then also it is ok.”

SRK and Salman met each other in Baba Siddiqui’s Iftaar party. There the two superstars hugged each other. The industry saw a lot of hope of a budding friendship between the two. But after that they never attended parties thrown by each other.

Few industry experts talk about the sprouting relationship. One said, “This isn’t going to affect Bollywood at all. Our film industry is doing well and will run well without them too. When their fight didn’t affect films or filmmakers, why would their patch-up?”

“Since they are already highly paid stars, their patch-up won’t have an earth-shattering impact as far as money is concerned. And let them first talk about working together”, said a film maker on condition of anonymity.

Both SRK and Salman have huge fan following and both are established actors. Both the stars have worked with their close set of directors in the past. So their friendship will hardly affect those in the cross fire. A source said, “It’s always good to have little or no animosity in our industry. And it will surely be good news for people who are close to both SRK and Salman.”
