First day box-office collection of ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’
Through the critics are not highly impressed with Punit Malhotra’s ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’, the audience seemed to have loved the cute pairing of Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan and stepped out to catch the film. Released on Friday, Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan’s sparkling romantic love story opened up to a good start at the box-office.
The film has managed to garner 3.25 crores to 4 crores as per early estimates but the exact figure is still awaited. The average film review might slow down its collection but to watch Kareena Kapoor on-screen was always a craze for the cine-goers which they would not let it go. As per report, the evening shows seen rush at the cinema halls. The film is basically going strong at the multiplexes in metros. The weekend only decide the fate of the film.
Apart from Kareena and Imran, ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ directed by Punit Mahotra and produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions also stars Shraddha Kapoor in the pivotal role. She plays Imran Khan’s fiancé in the film. The film was well promoted by the two stars and the music of the film was highly talked about due to its funny lyrics.
‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ is the story about Sriram (Imran Khan) who likes the good life and Dia (Kareena Kapoor) who in her own small ways want to bring a difference in society. It was love at first sight for Sriram and not for Dia, she gradually falls in love with him. But differences drifted them apart. Life goes on and he was all set to marry Vasudha (Shraddha Kapoor) but then he realizes that his love story is incomplete with Dia. He goes back in search of Dia and woo her back. But she has moved on and Imran tried his best to win over her heart again.
This is Kareena and Imran’s second film together after ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’.
The collection of the film is expected to grow in the weekend.
