Farhan Akhtar makes singing debut

Besides being a fantastic director and debutante actor, Farhan Akhtar is a great singer too. He has made his singing debut with his debut film Rock On. He has sung five songs of the film out of nine. He has sung on the lyrics of his father Javed Akhtar. During the music launch of Rock On at the Infinity Mall on Andheri Link Road in northwest Mumbai, he mesmerized the audience with his rocking voice.  

The movie speaks about four members of a band who reunite after they went their separate ways and shows how they recapture the hearts of their fans. Farhan plays the role of the lead singer in the movie and his leading lady will be Prachi Desai of Kasamh Se.   

The star cast of Rock On also includes Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Shahana Goswami and Luke Kenny. Since Farhan’s father is a great lyricist, he always has a strong bend for music. The jubilant trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has composed the music of the film.
