Fardeen Khan and Ritesh Deshmukh in a comedy caper

Director E. Niwas is directing a comedy film and wants to cast actors Fardeen Khan and Ritesh Deshmukh in it. The director has worked with Fardeen Khan in his earlier comedy venture ‘Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega’. The film starred Saif Ali Khan, Aftab Shivdasani, Fardeen Khan, Twinkle Khanna and Sonali Bendre. Now the director will attempt his second comedy film. Both Fardeen and Ritesh have given the director a verbal commitment to do his project.
Both Fardeen and Ritesh Deshmukh have been doing quite a few comedy films of late. While Ritesh’s last comedy venture was ‘Bluffmaster’ where he played a comic character, Fardeen has recently been seen in films like ‘Shaadi No 1’ and ‘Pyare Mohan’. Although Fardeen’s films didn’t do too well at the box-office, directors are anxious to cast him in a comic role. Director E. Niwas says, “Fardeen is keen to do the film, as he fell in love with the script the moment he heard it.” But there are a few technical problems, as Fardeen seems to have gone a film signing spree and is facing date problems. However, Director Niwas is quite confident that Fardeen will do his film, he says, “He has promised to accommodate my film in his busy schedule.”

Fardeen will soon be seen in films by Pritish Nandy Communications and Sajid Nadiadwala. The actor seems to be quite in demand in spite of not having too many hits to his credit. Ritesh too is equally excited about the film and has agreed to do the film in principle. However, combination dates between both the actors remains to be scheduled. This will be the first time that the two actors will come together onscreen. Director Niwas’s other venture ‘My name is Anthony Gonsalves’ has been postponed to 2007. The film will star newcomer, Nikhil along with Amrita Rao. Says the director, “It’s true that I am going slow on this project. With so many big projects slated for release in 2006, I have decided to push back the project for 2007. Since it stars a new hero, I would like to release it when there is no barrage of releases. The project has merely been postponed.”

Well, we look forward to seeing these two comic heroes together onscreen, lets hope they have better luck with this film, than their last few releases.
