Farah Khan ends war between Shahrukh, Vishal-Shekhar

Just as the controversy between music composers Vishal Shekhar and Shahrukh Khan seemed to be assuming serious proportion, Farah Khan has managed to diffuse the issue by playing peacemaker. This was vital for the next film of Farah which SRK is co producing and also playing the lead role while the music is being composed by Vishal Shekhar.

The superstar had always enjoyed great rapport with the music composers. However, during his last outing in Chennai Express, ill will flared up as the composers came to know that rapper Honey Singh has been asked to sing the Lungi Dance song. Vishal Dadlani has been vociferously critical of the misogynistic lyrics which are the trademark of the Punjabi Rapper, and he has spoken out clearly after the Delhi rape case. So, when a rumor surfaced that the rapper will be playing the song, they did not credit it.

According to a source, "They first came to know about it when Honey said on TV that he was composing a racy number for Chennai Express. They immediately called up the makers of the film but the producers brushed it off as a rumor. It was only after the song was recorded that Vishal-Shekhar learnt about it." Since then, they kept away from the promotions of the film. In fact, they were even missing in the episode of Indian idol junior where they are a regular judge on the day that SRK made a special guest appearance.

Fearing such bitterness is going to affect her film, Farah Khan ended up playing the peacemaker. She has long enjoyed a great rapport with the composers. According to a source, “Farah had decided long back that Vishal-Shekhar would score the music in her Shah Rukh starrer. The two did the music in her earlier directorial ventures Tees Maar Khan and Om Shanti Om as well. Knowing that things could be uncomfortable, she decided to play peacemaker before her film goes on the floor.”

“She made sure that they attend Shah Rukh’s Eid bash even though Honey Singh was also on the guest list. As it was a festive happy occasion, the mood was set. They made up and things are like before now,” the source added.

When asked about the issue, Farah said, “It has all been sorted out; all’s well.”

So, we can prepare to see another film with SRK mouthing the composition of Vishal Shekhar.
