'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' earns Rs 33 crs in the first week
Karan Johar might be basking in joy. After the duper super success of ‘Agneepath’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead, Dharma Productions Valentine’s release ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ had also a promising first week. The film has been able to garner nearly Rs 33 crores in the opening weekend.
Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan starrer EMAET has not only done a good domestic business but the film has also ruled the overseas market. On day 1 i.e. on Friday February 10th, the movie has done a business of 5.25 crores, on Saturday February 11th it increased up to 7.5 crore, on Sunday February 12th the collection was 8.5 crore, on Monday February 13th it fall down to 2.75 crore but showed increased on the Valentine’s Day Tuesday 14th February it showed a hike of 4.75, on Wednesday February 15th, the collection dropped to 2.10. Total box-office collection in the first week is 32.75.
Made on a budget of 35 crores, the movie recovered the money which was invested in the making and has been able to earn some profit.
In the international market, which includes Britain, North America, Gulf and Australia, EKAET did an impressive job by earning Rs3.65 crore.
