DV aka Ruslaan of 'Jee Le Jara' to marry on Valentine’s Day
Ruslaan Mumtaz who plays the cute hero in Kehta hai dil ……. Jee le zaara is all set to tie the knot on coming Valentine’s Day. The court
marriage is scheduled for 14th February followed
by a traditional ceremony on 2nd March. "Our
wedding details. Locked blocked and sealed. Now I just have to
make it on time. Which I will," said Mumtaz.
Mumtaz have been affianced to Nirali Mehta for almost a year now. Mehta is a financial analyst who met the actor at a Shiamak Davar dance class in 2005. Mumtaz had previously commented on having an exclusively committed relationship with Mehta and confirmed that he would ne marrying a Gujrati girl.
The actor talked about his wedding plans, saying, "I wasn't keen on traditional rituals - my parents had a court wedding. We actors get to enact grand weddings on screen, so for us, it's not a big deal. But Nirali is a Gujarati and she wanted a traditional wedding and to dress up as a bride, so we are doing a wedding ceremony as well."
Ruslaan is shooting for a wedding sequence for his serial at this time and he says that people on the set is referring to it as his practice run. "People were making fun of me on the sets, saying 'this is your practice session'. I'm busy shooting 29 days a month, so I have no time at all to be involved in the wedding preparations. Food is my department and I am deciding the menu, that's it," says Ruslaan, adding, "The feeling that I am getting married in a few days has not sunk in yet."
However, mother of the groom, actress Anjana Mumtaz is very busy planning a grand wedding for her only son. "I'm very excited. Ek hi toh beta hai hamara, toh shaadi ki taiyyari kaafi zor shor se chal rahi hai. A year ago, Ruslaan told us that he wanted to get married and introduced us to Nirali. As Nirali wanted a Gujarati wedding, we are following her wishes. We are not hosting a big reception because there's no time - Ruslaan is busy shooting and right after the wedding they are going to leave for their honeymoon in Maldives. But we'll have an elaborate sangeet, and we are going to invite everybody for that. The main wedding will only have close friends and relatives in attendance," she said.
