 "From the times, when time itself was a newborn babe, the universe has kept one secret carefully camouflaged within its folds. A secret, which if unraveled, could unlock the destruction of mankind and the entire cosmos. Today, only one man can protect the universe’s precious secret and thus, save the human race from absolute annihilation" and that is Drona.
Abhishek Bachchan is playing Drona/Aditya's role while his good friend Priyanka Chopra is playing his body guard Sonia, yes that's true! Priyanka was quoted "Don’t be surprised. I’m a very strong girl. And yes, I play Abhishek’s bodyguard in the film," she says. "Conventional roles are changing in real life, and cinema needs to respect that. I learnt a Sikh form of martial art, the Gatka, to play Abhishek’s protector. It’s a fascinating form of self-defence." Priyanka had four Sikh men training her in the ancient art of Gatka. Jaya Bachchan will play Drona's mother. Bachchan's family friend and Sonali Bender's husband Goldie Behl is directing the movie. Drona's budget will be close to Rs 60 crore and it is being produced by Shrishti Arya and Sunil Lulla. Movie's sets are located in Kuchaman City in Nagaur and was also shot in Rajasthan, Namibia and Prague in Czech Republic.
Movie's trailer shows a lot of visual effects, which many believe are not top notch. Drona's look was created by stylist Anaita Shroff, which is also not much appreciated by the audience.
